Sir Edmund Buckley
Ardwick mill owner who bought the Lordship of Dinas Mawddwy and a 12,000-acre estate in 1856; his son of the same name took over in 1864, bought Minllyn quarry and built the Mawddwy Railway to carry its slate. The younger Buckley was declared bankrupt in 1876 and the estate was broken up.
