Schofield & Sons (Grosmont)

The Grosmont family firm which worked the Goathland whinstone mine on the Cleveland Dyke from the 1890s to the 1910s, appearing in the returns as Schofield & Sons and, in the 1900s, as George and William Schofield. The 1888 List of Mines spells the name both Schofield and Scholfield in the same return.
