Pickford, Holland & Co.

Refractory brick manufacturers of Attercliffe Road, Sheffield, making silica and firebrick from ganister. Their works were the Eclipse Ganister Works in Sheffield, the Eclipse Silica Brick Works at Crook in County Durham, and Mooredge Colliery with its fire brick and ganister works at Totley. They held the Viewly Hill and Bounder House ganister quarries above Tow Law in the 1920s.
