Omya UK Limited

The British arm of Omya, a multinational minerals group based in Switzerland, and owner by 2012 of the chalk quarry above Melton in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Melton site is the company's largest production facility in the United Kingdom, taking about 300,000 tonnes of chalk a year for an adjacent plant making fillers, powders and extenders, and employing more than a hundred people directly or indirectly.
