Macintosh and Wilson
The partnership that launched a new works at Hurlet in 1797 and successfully established alum manufacture in Scotland on correct chemical principles, producing muriate of potash and sulphate of ammonia alongside it for the bleachfields and printworks of Glasgow, Paisley, Barrhead and Pollokshaws.
