Lord Carrington

Owned Llanfair Lead and Silver Mine in the 1830s, when Samuel Lewis's 'Topographical Dictionary of Wales' (1833) recorded it as a working silver-lead mine producing around 25 tons of ore a year, each ton yielding 75-80 ounces of silver.
