London and South Wales Colliery Company

The company that sank and worked the Risca New Pit, formed when Watts, Ward & Co. merged into it. Its principal shareholders were the London shipowners Watts, Milburn & Co., with Mr Watts as managing director. It held the colliery at the time of the 1880 explosion.
