A Glasgow-registered colliery company, of 11 Bothwell Street, which worked the Kennox pits at Douglas in Lanarkshire from at least 1910 — at first Carmacoup and Kennox together under manager Alexander McLuckie, with 52 men below ground and 16 at the surface, and by 1920 Nos. 6, 6a, 7 and 9, No. 3 having been abandoned. In 1923, under chairman D. W. T. Cargill with R. and W. W. Crichton as directors, it was raising about 50,000 tons a year of coking, household, manufacturing and steam coal.
