John Brown of Arkengarthdale

Recorded in the 1888 List of Mines as both owner and manager of the Cragg End flag stone mine, of Arkengarthdale, Richmond, in Yorkshire. No further company or biographical detail has been found. Not to be confused with John Brown and Company, the Sheffield steelmaker.
