James Cowmeadow
A free miner of Cinderford on whom the Addis Hill gale was confirmed by the awards of 1841, although he had been working it before that without a grant. He produced 2,074 tons in 1846, had died by April 1848, and his gales — this one and Cinderford Bridge Pit — probably passed to his widow Elizabeth.
