Great Wyrley Colliery Company

The company that worked the Great Wyrley pits on the southern edge of the Cannock Chase coalfield, in operation between at least 1872 and 1924 according to the Victoria County History, returned as the Great Wyrley Colliery Co. and later Co. Ltd with five to six hundred employed.
