Fenton Park Colliery Co.
The partnership of Potteries manufacturers that leased the mines under the Fenton Park estate from 1790, including Josiah Spode and John Harrison and, under the thirty-year lease of 1813, Josiah Spode II, Thomas Wolfe and Thomas Minton. John Aynsley was its first chairman. It passed to William Taylor Copeland and others by about 1838 and to Charles Smith by about 1840, and a Fenton Park Colliery Co. Limited was still returned at Longton in 1880.
