Carrock Mining Syndicate

The Carrock Mining Syndicate was formed in 1913 to reopen Carrock Fell Mine in Cumbria, the only British wolfram (tungsten ore) producer outside Cornwall and Devon; wartime demand saw around 14,000 tons of ore raised before the syndicate's operations wound down.
