MineArchiveCarlyle Slate and Slab Company
Formed by William Bullock and Robert Carlyle in 1871 to take over Minllyn from the failed Merioneth Slate and Slab Company, and buyer of the part of the Buckley estate containing the quarry after the 1876 bankruptcy. Declared bankrupt itself in 1886, though the quarry kept its name for years afterwards.
