Bold Hall Estate Co. Ltd.

Registered on 20 July 1893 with a capital of £200,000, it paid £100,000 for the 1,500-acre Bold Hall estate near St Helens and began sinking Clock Face Colliery in June 1896. It abandoned the sinking in March 1900 after water beat the shafts at 500 feet, discharging the 250 men who had worked on them.
