Beckermet Mining Co. Ltd

Registered on 4 June 1901 to work iron and coal mines in Cumberland; its Solway Works had passed to Charles Cammell and Co in 1896, and the company was later absorbed into United Steel Companies, nationalised in 1951, and briefly returned to private ownership in 1954 before Beckermet itself came under the British Steel Corporation.
