Bailey Brothers

Joseph and Crawshay Bailey, among the most successful of the Monmouthshire ironmasters, who bought Beaufort for £45,000 in 1833 as an extension of their Nantyglo works. Crawshay Bailey went on to become an MP and a major figure in the Welsh railway boom.
