The camp's commander, Gul Darhe'el, was elsewhere at the time and was never affected.

Cause

Kira Nerys, having liberated Gallitep herself twelve years earlier, ultimately released him on realising the deception — only for Marritza to be murdered on the station's Promenade by a Bajoran bystander who considered any Cardassian guilty enough to kill.
